Do you ever wonder if it’s really possible to make money online anymore? I know I definitely did. When I first had the thought that I wanted to work from home somehow, I had no idea how to make that a reality. Once I started researching it though, I found a ton of options.
Blogging is one that stood out because you can make serious money by helping people all over the world with something you’re passionate about. How is that not amazing!?
And this allows you stay home with your kids, changing your own life in the process.
Making money from home so you can be with your family more while having a real and lasting impact on people seems like that dream situation that OTHER people talk about, but it couldn’t possibly be available to you.
But it definitely can.
That’s the thing about the internet; anyone can become an online entrepreneur.
The difference between making it or not making it is the tools and resources at your disposal.
In this article, I’m going to tell you about an amazing resource, The Genius Blogger’s Toolkit, that has everything you need to go from “I think I’d like to start a blog” to “I’m a mom working from home on my blogging business.”
This article includes affiliate links which means I get a commission if you buy through my link. I only promote products to you that I absolutely love and this is no exception.
First thing’s first. What is this GBTK? The short version is that it’s a ton of different online courses, ebooks and more from successful bloggers that will teach you everything you need to know to go from beginner blogger to pro.
Literally $7395 worth of stuff for $97!
I’m definitely not doing it justice. I’ll go over more of what’s included in a bit, but first we have to figure out if it’s even something that’s useful for you.
The GBTK is for anyone that is thinking of starting a blog but aren’t quite sure how to get started. There’s a lot of information out there about how to start a profitable blog, and then when you investigate more, it’s really just how to literally start your website.
What’s missing most of the time is the actual strategies to turn your ideas into actual money online.
The GBTK includes a resource on pretty much every aspect of blogging so no matter where you are in your blogging journey, there’s a course in there for you.
The GBTK is also for those that have started a blog but want to grow and learn more to improve their business.
I literally get the GBTK every single year because there’s at least one course that I’d already been considering and it turns up in there for a fraction of the price!
The first year I got it, I had just started my blog so a lot of the material that interested me was the beginner stuff. Last year when I got it, I was more advanced and was more interested in the Pinterest strategies and affiliate marketing content.
So take a look at what all is in the GBTK this year and see what stands out to you. I bet there’s something in there that you were already considering anyway.
Honestly, if you’re just wanting to blog to have a place to put your thoughts online, then it’s probably not necessary to get the GBTK.
It’s really meant to help you get your blog to a place where it’s making you money, so if that’s not of interest, then there isn’t much use in investing in something like this.
You may have seen all of the big income reports from bloggers on Pinterest, and they are quite motivating for sure, but that’s honestly not a good reason to start blogging. If you don’t love helping or teaching others in some way, then blogging is likely going to feel like a chore.
There are other ways to make money online besides blogging, so it’s ok if blogging isn’t your thing.
If you hate writing, then starting a blog really might not be the best idea. Though in this year’s GBTK, there are a few resources about podcasting and starting a youtube channel if that’s more in line with your strengths.
If you’re searching for a way to make money fast and easy online, then this really isn’t the answer. There are some online businesses that can generate money faster than others, but blogging isn’t going to be one of them.
Blogging is a ton of work and can take awhile to build it up. But when you do, it’s serious money. It’s not uncommon to see bloggers making $10k+ a month with their businesses, but it took them years to get there.
So if you’re not wanting to work a lot or wait for the return of your labor to come back to you, then blogging and the GBTK may not be the best fit for you.
I don’t know about you, but I really don’t like reading long pages of information before they just tell me the price already. I know you’re busy so I’m just going to tell you everything up front.
Price: $97.00 ( + $50.00 if you want the cheat sheets (think cliff notes))
Early bird bonus: If you get it by October 3 at midnight, then they throw in the cheat sheets for free!
This is awesome because instead of having to go through every course you can quickly check out the cheat sheet to see if the course has what you’re looking for and then you can decide if it’s worth signing up for and getting started. Helps keep your blinders on for sure.
This is so helpful when there’s this much content to go through.
When I first saw what all you got for the price, I instantly became suspicious. I mean surely it’s going to be second rate information that isn’t even that helpful.
But it’s not.
Turns out they don’t let just anyone contribute to the tool kit. Some of the top bloggers in the world put their content in here. Ruth Soukup from Living well spending less and Elite blog academy (multi-million dollar blogging business) and Monica Froese from Redefining Mom (6 figure blogger) are just a few of the amazing business owners with products in here.
If you think about it from a blogging business perspective, they’re getting tons of new email subscribers (aka leads) as potential customers, and they can expand their reach and their own businesses in the process. Plus, they get a percentage of the sale when it goes to their own blog readers. So it’s a win-win for everyone.
This is the fun part. Seeing all of the amazing resources that come with this.
It will blow your mind at how many different topics are covered and what’s included.
This is an amazing compilation of courses, ebooks, and more all about blogging and giving you the ultimate toolkit to take your blog from hobby to business.
Overall, it comes with:
It literally provides you with everything you’ll need to start your blog, shows you how to really serve your readers so you can make the biggest impact, teaches you how to turn that blog into an actual business, and helps you keep your sanity along the way (think organizing and productivity hacks).
This year the Genius Blogger’s Toolkit includes products in all of these areas of blogging:
Isn’t that amazing?? If you’re like me, then you get excited about seeing all of these products in one place, especially at this price point! But some people may also get overwhelmed by all of this, and I understand that, too.
If you want to see more of the details about the specific products included in each section, check that out here.
I’ve picked out a few of the things included in this year’s toolkit that I thought would be particularly helpful and of interest to my readers.
When I was just getting started, I would’ve been super excited to see these products in the GBTK.
Write effective, engaging blog posts, design a content system that helps you streamline your workflow, boost your blog posts’ effectiveness with images and links, and promote your content so you can increase your reach.
My thoughts: Crystal Paine is a long-time super successful blogger, probably best known for her blog Moneysavingmom.com. Hearing from her on how to write effective content as a new blogger is super valuable, and she has a way of teaching that’s super easy to follow.
My thoughts: I know it’s so hard to actually transition out of your job and start working from home because there are so many things to consider. That’s why you’re looking into blogging in the first place, right? You want a way to finally be home with your kids. Sagan’s course on setting up an actual plan to leave your job is going to eliminate all of those excuses you’ve been hanging onto for why you can’t quit just yet.
My thoughts: Jeff Goins knows what he’s talking about when it comes to blogging. I love that his product talks about focusing on the right things so that your blog actually gets noticed which means it’ll start making money faster. Believe me when I say you don’t want to be writing blog posts for years on end and have no one even reading them.
My thoughts: Caroline is a blogger that doesn’t play games with her time. She’s got multiple little ones at home and doesn’t have time to work on things that don’t move her business forward and a bonus is that she’s all about helping you make money with your blog. This course by Caroline can really help you focus on the right things when you’re trying to fit in blogging on nights and weekends.
Even if you’ve been blogging for a few years, you still may not be where you want to be with your business (I know I’m not). It’s a work in progress and will always be like that honestly. It’s a business that will just keep developing as your grow.
Here are the products that I’m interested in right now or things that I think are really good for bloggers wanting to get serious in this year’s GBTK.
Learn the simple formula for turning your free Pinterest traffic into passive income!
My thoughts: I already have this, but I love everything Monica creates. She’s so smart and if she creates a product it means she’s tested it 50 different ways first to make sure it’s solid information. Taking Pinterest traffic and actually making money from it is ideal for generating that passive income life you’re hoping for.
My thoughts: Jennifer Maker is amazing at her blog and now she’s mastered YouTube as well. Just like everything she does, Jennifer dove right in and figured out how to scale her Youtube channel quickly and she’s passing on those secrets here. Youtube is a great way to drive traffic to your blog and video is hot right now.
My thoughts: Live streaming is terrifying for a lot of people (myself included), but it’s such a great way to connect with your audience and get your message in front of more people. Having some guidance on how to do that is so helpful.
My thoughts: I am a podcast junkie. Seriously love them. I’ve been listening to them since the dark ages of podcasting in 2011 and haven’t stopped. I’ve always wanted to have one of my own because podcasting is a great way to have a broader reach with your message. If you’re wanting to do any kind of coaching in your business, then this can be a great way to give people a taste of what you’re really like when it comes to talk about the issues you’d coach on.
My thoughts: A huge part in your blogging success will be if people can actually find your content. Increasing blog traffic isn’t always easy, so this course on mastering SEO is a great resource.
My thoughts: As an Elite Blog Academy student, Ruth is my blogging mentor and for good reason. She has a $5M company now that stemmed from her blog Living Well Spending Less. Again, social media is going to be necessary to grow your reach and connect with your people. So if that confuses you some (like it does me), then you’ll want to read Social Boom for sure.
Those are just a few of the resources that I thought would be helpful to you all. There are so many more included in the GBTK that I didn’t mention here.
The GBTK is on sale from Oct 2 – Oct 7 at midnight. The early bird bonus of the added cheat sheets ends Thursday Oct 3.
Now you’ve got the info about the GBTK so you can decide if it’s right for you.
If you’re dreaming of the day when you can work from home with your kids on a business you love, then ask yourself if your dream is worth investing in a little bit.
I’m a DIYer myself. Believe me. I tried to start out blogging and told myself I’d figure it out. And I would’ve. Eventually. But it’s way easier to learn from people that have already been there and done that. I could’ve taken the long road but being home with my son was more important.
A successful blogging business is definitely possible. If it can happen for so many other moms, then it can happen for you, too.
The Genius Blogger’s Toolkit has the tools to get you there.
